Project 2012 is pleased to present you with the final show of the end of the world exhibition series which has been touring around London since October 2011.

For the final epilogue, we have gathered 33 artists, some of them from the previous shows. Around 80 works will intend to unveil the spectator’s inner fears, passions and hopes, like a mirror which reflects our true nature as a society which views the apocalypse as a way of redeeming its sins.

In less than 50 days we could experience what some call the end of the world, but in Project 2012 we wonder if we have already reached a cul-de-sac. The artists taking part will help us decide by interrogating us about states which are constantly surveilling us; expressing our vulnerability as individuals constantly bombarded by ideology, politics and physical conflict; or by transporting us into the heart of nature, the promised land for the hopeful.

As a long term project, we have been evolving from offering a space for imaginary reflection on how we will encounter this end or new beginning, to question decisions we take as a whole which are irremediably affecting ourselves as a society and the environment in which we cohabitate.

Join us in this closure to depict this metaphor which is the end of world. Perhaps the apocalypse won’t come this time, but if it does, isn’t  it time to see where are we standing as a society?
