Writing competition: Scenes of the Apocalypse



Project 2012/End of the World exhibition is calling all writers to submit a short story on a possible end of the world becoming true. Will humanity be engulfed by nature? Will wars and crisis turn us against each other? Let your imagination flow and captivate us with your scenes of the apocalypse.

Genre: Fiction

Length: 1000 words maximum (2 pages approximately)

All entries must be original works, in English

Entry fee of £5

Prize: Book voucher from a major retailer for the winner

Entries must be submitted electronically to project2012exhibition@gmail.com. Please state “Scenes of the Apocalyse” on the email title. Text must be written in a word document, double-spaced and must include the title and page number on each page as well as a pen name at the bottom. On the body of the email please include the author's name, telephone number and email address.

Deadline: February 15th 2012

Two independent judges will decide who the three finalists are by February 22th 2012. These will be notified via email.

The winner will be announced on Saturday 3rd March  2012 at 3pm at The Gallery on the Corner in 155 Battersea Park road, SW8 4BU as part of Project 2012 End of the World Exhibition/Part II. Tea and biscuits will be provided for everyone attending.
